  • CLIENT: ICRIER
  • DURATION: Mid-December 2023 to Mid-February 2024

Project Brief: The State of India’s Digital Economy (SIDE) Report, 2024

Introduction: Revisual Labs (RVL) was invited to design the visual language for the 2024 edition of The State of India’s Digital Economy (SIDE) report, published by the Indian Council of International Economic Relations (ICRIER). The task included not only the publication design but also the creation and styling of over 60 charts featured in the report. The project spanned two months, starting from mid-December and concluding in early February, a week prior to the report’s launch on February 16th.

My Contribution:

As part of the RVL team, my primary responsibility was the creation of charts for the SIDE 2024 report. This involved several key tasks:

  1. Chart Generation:

    • Utilized R and other data visualization tools to generate over 60 charts.

    • Ensured that the charts were both creative and statistically accurate, effectively representing the data.

  2. Styling and Integration:

    • Worked collaboratively to review and approve charts in Figma before final integration into the report.
  3. Attention to Detail:

    • Carefully followed the guidelines and notes provided by the lead information designer to ensure consistency and clarity.

    • Made iterative improvements based on feedback from internal reviews and client input.

  4. Collaboration:

    • Coordinated with other team members to ensure a cohesive design approach.

    • Communicated effectively through various tools like Slack, and Figma to manage progress and updates.
